About Council Meetings
CTAC meets regularly throughout the year. All ABWA members and their guests are welcome to attend. Delegates are selected by each member chapter to vote on Council business. The Council Board is nominated and elected by the delegates and serve a one-year term. Meetings typically consist of dinner, a speaker or presentation, Council business (if any), chapter reports, and door prizes. In addition, some special meetings held during the year include Women of the Year Recognition (each chapter’s Woman of the Year is recognized), and the Women’s Hall of Fame (Induction of women who have been nominated by a council member for being outstanding in a particular fields, such as education, community involvement, and various professions). For more information on the Area Council meetings, talk to one of your chapter officers.
